We Are Almost Packed

// August 24th, 2007 // Community, Personal, Relationships, Travel

5 days and counting until the movers come to load our stuff and we make the five day journey with kids to south Florida. Friends are helping with babysitting while we pack, and we are saying our goodbyes through tears of sadness and joy. People have been so kind to share their love for us in our departing. I am convinced we are night dieing yet, but things will never be the same for sure.
We are almost packed … almost. What is difficult about this move is that everything has to be in boxes. Not like moving across town where you just throw some stuff in the back of the car on the last trip. Everything but the bikes, the appliances, one-off items, and the furniture has to be in boxes. This packing is real work I tell ya. More updates soon as we head in that direction.

    We will be praying for you as you travel over the weekend. The packing has got to be a total PRESS. Can’t wait to hear updates when you get settled. How about some pics for your Yankee friend who never gets to see the ocean. hint hint:)

    Hello Jason and Ashley,

    Just wanted to let you know we’re thinking of you and that just because you’re moving away that doesn’t mean we stop caring. It means we care more!

    We hope this adventure brings you closer to God and to each other. (That has been our experience.)

    Also, we know your birthdays are around this time. Happy Birthdays! What a way to celebrate getting older. Oops, maturing! Don’t sprain or strain anything important. Give hugs and kisses to each other and Lily and Sydney.

    Love,
    Dick and Raquey

    Dick and Raquey prove that anyone, no matter their schedule, age, or retirement status (they live in a travel trailer on a beautiful corner of a mountain in the Rockies) can write a blog comment here and there. Thank you for your kind words Dick and Raquey! We appreciate the encouragement. And thanks for remembering our birthdays too.

    I still intend to keep that appointment with you Dick, and I don’t doubt for a bit that your prayers are in part what brought us to Florida. For your constant support, we are thankful!
