I saw Fireproof and it just was upsetting. I did all this guy did and nothing changed. For two years. and twenty before that so my conclusion is…
All men are idiots and about 30% of all women are as well. Relationships for these will be successful. For the other 70% of women a lobotomy is needed for any happiness with a man. As soon as she figures out that he is selfish to the core and an ignoramus, her happiness is doomed.
You disagree? Look at the world. Men have ruled it for the pass milenia and look at the mess. You really want to trust your heart and affections to them?

By the way, I had not intended to be rude in posting Monique’s comment spam. I just think that it is important for companies who intend to do grass-roots marketing and PR for films as important as Fireproof to realize that blogging communities are not a new marketing channel, but are networks of trust with nodes and hubs of real people and real conversations.

In my opinion, posting anything that does not contribute to the ongoing dialog that is the blogosphere is a disservice to the companies behind the products they represent. I am sure Lovell-Fairchild Communications is learning how to join the conversation by now and is contributing wherever they post.

Fireproof movie information will probably start to swell soon in preparation for it’s release. I can’t wait! Should be a fantastic movie.

The line “you can’t lover her, because you can’t give her what you don’t have” – followed by a man looking at a cross, representing Christ, I’m sure.

Wow – how true. I take it, the point is that you have to fill up, lean on, converse with Jesus first, before you can be real, supportive, understanding, setting yourself aside for the good of someone else. Ya think that’s part of the message of the film?
