My friend Blake Thompson and his wife Bev had a baby recently. Thankfully, he was kind enough to post a picture of his dear wife’s placenta. Let me warn you not to go to that last link if you have a weak stomach.
So why am I telling you about this? Multiple reasons:
- In 10 years we have gone from barely using email to publishing our placentas for our friends.
- I am fascinated by all things medical.
- It is a cool photo.
- Ashley has one of these in her at the moment that is feeding and protecting our baby.
- An all-capable God creates this marvelous stuff for His glory.
- Even our bio-waste points to and acknowledges Jesus.
- I wanted to gross some people out.
