A Sharp Picture of a Friends Placenta

My friend Blake Thompson and his wife Bev had a baby recently. Thankfully, he was kind enough to post a picture of his dear wife’s placenta. Let me warn you not to go to that last link if you have a weak stomach.

So why am I telling you about this? Multiple reasons:

  • In 10 years we have gone from barely using email to publishing our placentas for our friends.
  • I am fascinated by all things medical.
  • It is a cool photo.
  • Ashley has one of these in her at the moment that is feeding and protecting our baby.
  • An all-capable God creates this marvelous stuff for His glory.
  • Even our bio-waste points to and acknowledges Jesus.
  • I wanted to gross some people out.

    Agreed. Placentas were not meant to be posted online!

    Tracy, you are blessed to get to work with Pat R at CBN. We have been supporters of that ministry for about 20 years and respect him very much.
